Volunteer Opportunities

Read below to learn more about the individual opportunities. Please note that for most events (unless otherwise noted) volunteers must have a completed background check and sign in at the office to receive a visitor pass. Background checks must be resubmitted every year. Then, reach out to Treisi to let her know what you are interested in! Read below to learn more about the individual opportunities.

If you have any questions or ideas you can always contact our Dean of Operations, Cheryl Ruiz.

Current Opportunities

CSC (Collaborative School Committee) Nomination and Participation

The CSC works closely with school leadership to make spending and hiring decisions. Meetings are open to all. If you'd like to nominate a community member for the committee, you can learn more here. Meetings are monthly, usually before the PTA meeting.

Library Volunteering + Book Fair

Our popular book fair runs for the week before Thanksgiving break. Volunteers are needed for set up, break down, and everything in between!

We also love to support our wonderful librarian with parents who can help throughout the year with reshelving, check-out, and book selection. If you have a passion for reading and books, please consider volunteering in the library.

Room Parent

Room parents help coordinate volunteering, events, class gifts, and support items for teachers.

Teller Tutors

Help support our youngest students by volunteering in kindergarten classrooms for 1 hour / week. You will be assigned to a specific class and meet with the same students week after week. Early intervention and support from our Teller Tutors has truly made a difference and our teachers are so appreciative. During the hour long session you will review letters, sounds, and eventually progress to sight words and supported reading.
